Audio interface recommendation? Anyone?
My demo will run out shortly and I have decided to purchase Live 8. Could you share some recommendations on a good external audio interface, $300 max?
many thanks.

I picked up a Mackie Onyx satellite for A$249.Rock solid performer with quality pre's. Only thing is, it has no MIDI I/O if you are using external gear. And it gives you Firewire connectivity, HiZ input and Phantom power.

+1 on Fast Track Ultra. Except for the Snow Leo problem's and the huge POP every time you turn the unit on..(don't have your speakers plugged in until after the unit is on)Migra wrote:M-Audio Fast Track Pro or Fast Track Ultra

It is very good indeed - had one for the best part of a year now. Great converters, nice clean preamps, lots of I/O options, very stable on OSX.the girl next door wrote:This new M-Audio firewire device looks nice.

And all at a good price.
Great value.
