Ive checked both colors on a mac and a pc (windows 7) and the win7 version is definitely warmer, more dynamic, and has loads more detail and "depth". Win7 for tha "win"! Ha!

The Paint square definitely looks warmer. I know not everyone can tell, but for those of us who are blessed (cursed?) with so-called 'golden eyes', the output from a vintage color generator is always preferred. I find that the red has a more organic feel, whereas the Photoshop output is cold and lifeless.

For those who can't tell, well, what can I say. Some have it, others don't.

I still can't believe all you fanboys jump to the defence of photoshop. I know a lot of real PROs, I'm not dropping names hear but they are some of the best in the industry, and they all kno for sure that PHOTOSHOP RED SUCKS COMPARED TO MSPAINT. Fact. Period. Photoshop is great for adjusting colour curves in real time but everyone knows if you want good quality red you have to export to paint.

Grow up and stop whining, and forget about 'scientific' tests, your colouring engine sucks because my unidentified big name pals say so.

I usually export all my color stems into MSPaint (PC only bitches!) for final rendering.

I sketch out my ideas in Photoshop as it's more fun, but after hearing about how Daft Punks posters were made, I now always import and do final renders in MSPaint.

The fixed point processing really cuts down on the amount of Henke Brown Jitter (HBJ) that's introduced when PITB (painting in the box).

I recently noticed that the red color looks warmer, deeper, in MS Paint than in Photoshop

Here are two squares of FF0000 red, the first made in Photoshop, the other in Paint.



Can anybody explain why? Could that mean that Paint's rendering engine is superior to Photoshop's?

Pfft, damn digital. I prefer analogue colours!
