Help with CPU spike

I have a project going where playing a 4 bar loop continuously leads to CPU spiking and staying there. the only cure is to close and re-open

it's just a handful of tracks and plugins, i've used more w/o problems

this even happens when just looping the drum track in solo for awhile

any clues to why?

Try the 8.1.1 beta and see if you still have the problem. There is a known cpu usage problem in 8.1 that is fixed in the beta.

multiple core?
cause I found the multiple core handling is not the best I tested...
so, here, I set off the multiple core support even if I'm using an i7.
works fine!
