NAMM 2010 predictions

Post by Rave » Tue Dec 15, 2009 8:04 pm

NAMM 2010 is only just around the corner, any predictions?

Could we be looking at a new APC 80 or even an Ableton 9?

It has the potential to be quiet this year, what with the situation with the economy and developers probably playing it safe. Hopefully will be proven wrong and there will be some inspirational VST or whatever that is mind blowing. But then, do I need yet another thing to learn?

This is the only thing that I have heard so far, and it's only a face lift. Nothing new at all about it.

Probably something stupid looking from Korg and Roland will release a keyboard with weighted keys again.

I really think the only big update to Ableton will be that they will finally release it in 64bit. They are the only ones still stuck in the 32bit realm.

I understand that behind the scenes something or other runs in 64bit but all i know is that I can't run 64bit plug-ins!!

I think Sonar and Studio One are the only fully 64bit apps right now actually, even Logic is 32bit still if I remember right. 64bit summing engine is a lot different from 64bit memory addressing, totally different things.
