drum loops don't match up

Post by golemast9 » Mon Jan 11, 2010 7:35 pm

my first drum loops synced perfectly with my clips, but now whenever i insert a loop they speed up and chop up, even though they sound perfect when i preview them. Im really new to ableton so if someone could help me out that would be awesome. thanks!

This could be a few things.

First check the warp mood.
For drum loops set to beat, it could be set to pitch which could cause a pitch up
or
there is a setting under the warp mode.
with a +2 and -2 this a doubling of halfing of the speed, check that.

Also go to the preferences and check what your default warp mode is... make sure it isnt on pitch.

Ya, loops can be very hard to control sometimes. It may take lots of warping to get it right and after you get it right it might not even sound good. I guess this is why i don't like using them lol
