Hey guys, I have been reading about the APC 20 and its new smart features, Particularly the note mode that allows the user to play midi nots from the grid materix. Can anyone tell me if this is easily possible with the APC 40. I would dig it it if anyone could give me the heads up on this .

Thanks for the link to NControl, ive seen them before, but why should we have to pay $40 or whatever, this sounds like typical AKAI below the belt dirty tricks...and ableton should be ashamed of themselves aswell. All us hard up musicians have forked out lots of money for APC40, been loyal to AKAI and Ableton by purchasing the products and then they go and produce the apc 20 with treble the fuctionality. ABLETON AND AKAI you should be ASHAMED of yourselves...do you really expect us to put up with this dirty trick tactics. Why shouldnt APC 40 buyers get the same functionality as the cheaper APC20...in my view unless they sort this out and provide some sort of update to allow for things like note mode in APC40 i will be lobbying for a full refund from AKAI and Ableton tomorrow and i shall never speak another good about anyof them ever again. expect a call tomorrow u

I'm going to have to go ahead and agree with you. I dropped ~$800 on Ableton Live + APC40. I am not jacked up on anything other than being "ripped off" if you have nothing constructive to say sling ya hook and stop making pointless comments in my post that i give a shit about. I want my note mode and i want it now. I wonder if you my freind were also a victim of The AKAI MPC 1000 faulty pads they sold 10000s of units? Please dont disrespect me by be littleing my complaint. They are all a bunch of corporate parasites...(david ike was freaking right bloody Lizards). And no im not taking my post "over there" sling it!

You're not paying AKAI an extra $40 for features they left out. You're paying $40 to a brilliant dude who's doing great things for these controllers, nK is all good shit and it's worth $40.. Firstly If i worked for AKAI i would need a whole lot more than perscription drugs to keep me from feeling very bad about myself.I mean how ca they go home at night and look there kids in the eye? Some Meth may help. Secondly i understand that this guy who has the Native control add ons has no doubt slaved for countless hours but i too have put a lot of man hours into getting together the money i spent on the APC and Ableton and im sure i had less fun and got paid a lot less so why should i pay a thrird party and waist even more money? no matter how noble the developers quest? Why doesnt some one in Berlin at Ableton (as they make themselves out to be such liberal bastions of all things good) make a stand for the consumers and get this sorted so WE the customer does not have to feel short changed and agreived..probably because theyre all on a yaucht in the MAldives sipping champagn and laughing at all us chumps. AKAI ABLETON where are you now...very quitely sniggering in the corner somewhere i expect? If i had a yaucht i sail it straight into your greasy bow!

Dude they came out with the APC20 AFTER the APC40, and there's new features, and you really think you're entitled to the new features?

Zip it AKAI lover. Im not happy and thats the end of it. You dont buy a 60 inch LCD bad boy bravia TV for 8 grand then a few months later realise they released a 40 inch bad boy at half the price with built in virtual reality unit then say " oh just be happy with your 3 d specs. Sorry mate but im not happy with a work around. What like the work around for the MPC 1000 shoddy os which had to be reinvented by jj? nah mate
