"Come on, Steve, just think—think, dammit—you're running out of time," the exhausted CEO said as he glued nine separate iPhones to the back of a plastic cafeteria tray.

I brought an extra mouse to work today for when I inevitably break mine from clicking on refresh too much.

Oooo. Nice. Planning in advance.
The newspapers are all peeing their pants because they believe the iPad is going to breathe new life into their near dead corpses, lol.

I'm curious what the price will be. I was reading that sometimes Apple intentionally leaks information all CIA style to gauge public opinion before they make the final decision. In this case the leaked rumor is that it will cost $1,000. As big of an Apple shill as I am, even I think that is way steep unless it delivers something truly ground breaking. But who am I kidding, I will get one eventually anyway.
There's 3 things that survive even the worst of economies: alcohol, porn, and Apple toys.

2 things:
1. We should really drop all pretense and just ban all non-Apple users from this forum.
2. Yes, the price is going to be tricky. $1000 and they've just eliminated all but the fanboys. That's a lot of coin to throw down for something that isn't remotely as practical as an iPhone. $800? Maybe.

Now I'm really curious and confused. If you already have an iphone does that somehow factor into it or is this a whole other device with a completely different charge? Can you simply just use it without paying some kind of monthly subscription and maybe just not get full use out of it, use of things you may not even want?rikhyray wrote:In Germany 800€ and 499€ with T mobile contract (Media Markt major electronic discounter had the page premature released yesterday , removed it after couple of hours)beats me wrote:I'm curious what the price will be.
Of course nobody knows the answer to this just yet. But I think if you are forced to pay a monthly subscription plus the up front cost then that is also going to turn a lot of people off.
