Financial Institution declined transaction

Post by Crescent Fresh » Mon Feb 01, 2010 4:35 am

So i keep trying to upgrade from live 7 to live suite 8 and every time i put in my information it says 'The financial institution has declined the transaction. Please check the data you have entered.' I have plenty of money in my bank account for the transaction. Whats going on??

could be your bank has a limit for online purchases or something similiar. I have to call my bank almost every time I try to buy stuff online. could also be because its an overseas purchase etc

Call your bank, for some reason I couldn't pay when getting m4l, and when I called them that's what it was, they had this software company from germany trying to debit 250 euros or whatever it was, they can unblock it straight away with you on the phone… so

Capital One locked my card until I called them both when I bought Suite and again for M4L.

Since they caught someone in Jamaica trying to use my card to the tune of $2K a couple of months ago, I tend to give them some slack about this kind of thing :)

This just happened to me as well, but it turned out the Credit Card company had sent me a replacement card with a different number 3 months prior - which I never saw. The old number was only good for a month after the new card went out. Might be the issue.
I came for the
But stayed for the :x

My experience is that you need to call your bank before making the purchase. It usually has to do to with international purchases and fraud prevention. Good Luck!

Lol. I wish mine would sometimes...
