Better yet, give me the Voyager and i'll write tracks for you

Seriously though, i've just got out of a six week slump myself so i know how frustrating it is.
Give it time, it will come.

If it it doesn't however, about that Voyager...

Seems like more and more producers from the famous to the not so famous are cutting this thing lose in favor of plug-ins.

Synthesisers synthesise sounds, so how on earth is a "hard" synth any more real than a "soft" one?

What "the real thing" is depends entirely on how each individual defines "the real thing".

In short, to each his own.

I don't care what argument you throw at me. A synthesiser - virtual or analog - is never a tuba.

I think this is mostly a personal preference and perception thing, which is perfectly acceptible. I just don't believe that with all the softsynths constantly coming out and updates to existing ones that software isn't going to be on par with hardware or surpass it and a lot of pros (for lack of a better word) already feel that way.

I think real acoustic instrument signals contain more information than the ones produced by synthesizers.

A synthesizer is not a tuba.

yes but amping your softsynths in the real world can do wonders for all that "chaos" that we like so. Although I agree, hardware is not a cat

A squirell neither a compressor, nor an EQ.
