"Adaptive" Stutter

Post by Inaki » Sun Feb 07, 2010 10:16 pm

Hey all:

I know I can do a "stutter" effect with Beat Repeat, and it works great. The only thing I can't figure out is how to do a stutter effect -whenever- I want to. Beat Repeat, even if I map its On/Off controls to any MIDI controller, still does it in the bar its programmed to. Is there any way of making a stutter effect happen any time I hit a command regardless or where Beat Repeat is set to? Maybe some other effect I can download/buy?

Any time I've seen this its had some strange interaction with Traktor with I have a) no idea how to use and b) no real interest in buying!!!!

On the bottom left corner, turn Chance to 0%. Anytime you want to repeat hit the "Repeat" button above it :D

hahah! nothing more annoying than a 2 minute stutter.... on my DJ effect rack i made made a srtutter button. heres how i mapped the macro

chance to 100 percent, no triplets, interval to 1 bar, turn mode to "ins"
map grid to macro, with a range of 1 bar to 1/32
map the repeat button to macro, range of 1 to 127
that way when the knob is turned down, the audio passed thru normnally, but when you turn it, it stutters

i toggle the rack on and off for control over stutter rate...

this is all recalled from memory so if it doesnt work send me a message and ill double check when i get home

enjoy!
