Blu Mar Ten - Natural History

Kinda Drum and Bass with some different beats and big washy sounds. The CD's been going round and round in my car for the last month. :)

Enslaved's album - Vertebrae - hasn't left my truck for over 2 months. It came out in 2008, but I only got it in 2009.

Psykovsky - Da Budet - insanely amazing dark psytrance....not really dance music ;)

+1.

Awesome album. After the relative disappointment of Always Outnumbered, Invaders blew me away. I hardly played anything else for a good few weeks, it's still a regular on my iPod and I don't go to a party without it!

maybe it's me age but i found all the shit I bought to be pretty ordinary...one or two tracks stand out on an album the rest just wash over me..or annoy me.

If i had to push one out it would be, Jon Hopkins - Insides

i agree with you, last year everything was blah.
2008 was a pretty good year for music (at least better than last year)

i thought i was going to like them crooked vultures because of the promo video for "no one likes me"
but they just took out the high point of that album and made a promo video.
the whole album is weak.
what made me hate that band even more is, when i found out that the singer for them crooked vultures started going out with the singer for rancid wife while they where still married...dirty low life's.. both the singer of vultures and brody whoeverthefuck.

deftones incubus and 65daysofstatic are all suppose to release something this year... im hoping it will be a good year.

btw the cures album was a huge pos and so was sonic youths..
same with boy noize..
2009 was all about lady gaga's tranny ass not getting out of are face.

Both from Cartography just incase some of you peeps wanted an idea of what the fuss was all about (for me at least).

Black Dog - Thee Singles 2

All amazing albums that I bought last year. I listen to then quite a lot :-)

Oh yes, Black Dog´s Further Vexation and the beautiful Radio Scarecrow where the highlight´s in 2009 for me, too. But I have to add also YAGYA with Rigning. For me one of the most beautiful ambient; dubhouse ( or whatever...) album ever.

Their new one is really good. Esp. like the track "Run".

I listened to it last night for the first time and I'm really disappointed. Maybe it will grow on me, but it doesn't seem likely. I love DAWs and sequencing, but they did it wrong. Their first album is totally brilliant though. That thing is going to have the lifespan of a Simon & Garfunkle record.
