How do you install a license plate on a Toyota Camry?

Post by Hidden Driveways » Tue Feb 09, 2010 8:19 pm

Hay Lounge!

I've got a non-Ableton dilemma! My mum gave me her old car last week (first car I've had since 1992). I live in New Jersey and you're supposed to have a license plate on the front of the car as well as the back. I screwed one onto the back, but there was no hole-y things on the front bumper! How does one do such a thing?!?!

Thank in advance!

I'd go to your local auto parts store and they would have the best idea on how to do this. You really don't need this forum to be the middle man as you are probably going to have to go there anyway.

Damn. "Auto parts" store you say? I know the K-Mart between West 34th and West 33rd has an automotive section... but that's about it.

Damn, this forum's bbcode doesn't allow the bbcode image re-size tag for some reason.

:)

Wasn't trying to come off as a dick in my response but I think it's one of those situations where you don't need some ultra elite solution and your average grease monkey could hook you up.

The only thing I would recommend is for both your back and front plate have those bolts that need a special wrench to take off. The wrench should come with the bolts and sure anybody could also buy the same wrench but it's usually something that some punk kid doesn't just carry on him to lift plates. I actually had my plate stolen in the last year which I thought was fucking retarded, but it inspired me to get the special bolts. You never know.
