If you dont let Itunes manage your library, you can have any of the format it supports in a single playlist. No workarounds needed.eandersonase wrote:o0o wrote:will iTunes let you play some files that are mp3s and some files that are wavs or does it convert everything in one playlist to one format so that you may only

I'm pretty sure it doesn't automatically convert anything. If you have it manage your library it will make a copy of whatever you drag into iTunes and place it in your iTunes library folder but it leaves the format as is.adventurepants_ wrote:If you dont let Itunes manage your library, you can have any of the format it supports in a single playlist. I cant believe im again in the perverse position of defending apple products.eandersonase wrote:
so the only apple product that i have ever owned is an ipod
its crap
well its better than some phones but..
not an interchangeable battery
cannot change out memory
if you want to transfer pictures to your computer you must sync your whole phone
you can only open one program at a time
i had to hack the software to customize some very basic features

Really? I have a weird stomach reaction to apples off the tree. Apple sauce or apple pie, no problem. But biting into an apple makes me feel like I want to throw up. I don't get it and never bothered to research it.
indeed... a lesson learned...adventurepants_ wrote: Apple make appliances, thats their entire strength.

When I accidently double click on a Live set it fires up Live. Maybe I wanted it to open in notepad. Or worse yet, I double click on a set I made in 7 and it opens in 8 and turns it into an unstable mess once I save it again.Hidden Driveways wrote:iTunes is probably my least favorite thing about owning Apple computers. you are not serious? since when do you use computers and i mean ANY computer?Hidden Driveways wrote:iTunes is probably my least favorite thing about owning Apple computers. GAFM ***Well that's kinda silly, but I kinda know what you mean. The thing that used to really annoy me about itunes was that if I accidentally double clicked an audio file it would open itunes (ok, not a problem) but it would take a really really long time for itunes to fully open and fully close. So I switched to WMP which opens and closes instantly. Now, however, itunes opens and closes much faster, possibly because I have a much faster computer....WMP is still my default audio app though.Hidden Driveways wrote:iTunes is probably my least favorite thing about owning Apple computers. why do you do that? When I bounce a track from Live I just have it save it to the desktop, drag that to iTunes which makes a copy in my iTunes library and then I trash the desktop copy
