Clearing 'open recenlty used'
This is obviously useful for quick access to recently used files, but is there a way of clearing this list or making it shorter so that it only stores the last 5?
Re: Clearing 'open recenlty used'
I´m afraid not. Why is it bothering you?

If really necessary, you can delete your Preferences.cfg - this will cause an empty recent sets list
but you also have to readjust your settings (audio drivers/midi drivers etc.).
The Preferences.cfg file can be found in following location:
•Mac OS X: /User/Library/Preferences/Ableton
•Windows (Live 4 and later versions): C:/Documents and Settings/yourusername/Application Data/Ableton/Live/Preferences
•Windows Vista: c:/users/username/appdata/roaming/ableton/live/ preferences/
Note that on some Windows systems the application data folder is hidden by default. Here is what you have to do to make it visible:
Windows XP/2000
1.Launch Explorer.
2.Select Tools/Folder Options/View.
3.Check "Show hidden files and folders."

Re: Clearing 'open recenlty used'
Thanks for that.
It's cause I normally forget what I am working on and open a load of different files to hear what I worked on before to steal ideas and such.
Its easy to remember 5 or 6 file names and what they relate to but when 20 pop up I can't remember what I have called things and often click on files I don't want. It's my own fault but I thought there might be a way that's all.
Thanks for the help.

Re: Clearing 'open recenlty used'
I usually create an audio channel and resample the entire mix or just an excerpt of it so I can preview the mix from the folder manager. Or I bounce down (after I print to the arrangement view) and save to a folder and I can preview within any audio player or DAW anytime. Just the way I like to work. Not necessarily best for every situation or everybody.
