Hi there,

I put together a little stepsequencer for usermode 1 of the launchpad. m4l is not required.

from bottom to top row you can program the cells of an impulse.
on the bottom row there's a visual metronome, which is activated by pressing the "up" button.
"right" button is play, "left" button is stop. the scene start buttons delete the rows.

have fun!

Next Version 0.5.

You now can route the rows to different instruments. The "down" button controls a looper device which records one bar of the programmed loop.

The Launchpad does make you want to fiddle I am always creating elaborate patches and sequences etc, but I do find myself messing rather than writing...

How about a " slice to launchpad audio grid " option ? The idea being that instead of slicing audio to a sampler, it would automatically slice to a grid of clips all set up with correct follow actions.

My guess is, if you "slice to midi", as it puts slices in a drumrack, this should work directly in user1 mode.

Slice to drumrack - and play that in user mode 1. yes, it works and is great fun. especially if you set up a channel for light-feedback and ten throw in a random plug. Then you can see how the notes get shuffled ...

Nice work! I don't fully understand all the functions and the bpm is a bit funny on it but its still great fun to play with! I guess once I'm more familar with using the looper it will be even better too! I would love to try and customize it but it sort of did my head in when I looked at it with smokey eyes......
Thanks for the share!

What seems like a really useful feature on the Launchpad that I haven't seen on any other controller is in the Mixer mode where you can reset volume/pan/sends settings (per track or for all tracks) to default settings, not to mention disabling arm/mute/solo/stop (per track or for all tracks):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pQ2f_T6K3g

i'd love to be able to toggle send from 0 to 100% and back, that would be perrrfect...

did anyone find a solution to this? i tried by midi mapping the mixer mode reset buttons but than i get unwanted note events...

A very annoying thing with motorized faders controlers used alongside the launchpad (and apc) :
