Live: + 1 for Macros access from m4l, or alternatively at least 32 controls per Macro.

dunno if it came up, but I also think that a group to clip which groups several clips which are in the same track would be cool, in addition to a 'follow clip in another track' (yes can be made with m4l, I know).

+ on the group track in session view would be great to have the number of clips contained in the group and not just one colored box:
similarly to the arrangement view but vertical (standing next to each other).

+ possibility of switching groups and all sub tracks on off without freezing, and effectively improve CPU time.
a button on the right corner of the group track would do it.

m4l : switch undo mode on/off for live.object.
better timing performance in regards to synced m4l patches.

Stability and better performance. on a 2GHz Core 2 Intel 2 GB RAM machine not being able to run Live 8 at less than 512 samples/buffer without encountering some problems, and with very few tracks playing, is uncomfortable, but I am still in love of course... :D

- Ability to name track groups. Currently you can't tell what they are once they're closed.

- Ability to change instrument presets on Ableton instruments via program change messages. At the very least, program change should be mappable to chain select.

- Not 100% sure this isn't already the case, but instruments in a rack which are not selected should not use CPU.

- Receive MIDI on all channels, not just one.

- Send and receive sysex messages.

+ 1 for SysEx

This really should have been ready for the Max for Live release. (In my opinion)

apologies if any dupes here:

1. ability to move the arrangement overview cursor with keyboard shortcut or arrow keys - moving it with the mouse often resizes the view by mistake (file under "anything to click with mouse can be key-mapped", but an easy sub-implementation)

2. disable track - if I mute a safety/duplicate track with speaker on/off automation, the track won't stay off

3. would like to select clips in arrangement view with 'from cursor to end' - that way I can select even clips beyond current visibility, and know that I've moving everything in the whole track

4. when I nudge the start marker out of the screen view with arrow keys, the frame should follow the marker automatically if the ctrl-F follow indicator is activated.

5. would love to move a selection of clips in arr view with the mouse-wheel - would push or pull the whole group of clips according to the quantize value

6. would love a keyboard shortcut to move the start marker to the head of the selected clip (Cubase equivalent - ctrl L)

7. drum-rack dissolve function/ weightloss - one-touch command would automatically 'extract chains' for only the drum samples that are being used. That way my 'collect and save' would only contain the drum samples used in the song - important when using big pre-loaded drum racks

and yes can we REALLY need SYSEX functionality !!!

Second wish:

Make templetates for new channels.
example: when I create a new Audiotrack I want it to contain Filter, EQ8 and Compressor.
When I create a MIDI file. I want a Compressor, EQ8, Distortion etc etc.

All in except :

more explanation needed
-you mean classic groups??? you cant rename them??
-not selected you mean the devices that are off?
-do you mean the "midi from" ? "All channels" exist

***Also there was some duplicates that not added***

Ill stop watching this topic for some time ...

please post only if you have something really good and please read before posting ...

The list is very big now and i have to check each post for duplicates etc. (my memo is not so good ;p) and i dont have so much free time anymore

Native Subversion support

Post by Lefaux » Sun Feb 14, 2010 3:42 pm

Live could feature support for versioning systems.
This basically comes from programming but I like to keep different versions of live projects in subversion so I can keep my notebook and my machine in the studio in sync without manually fiddling with files.

The simple bounding box is not enough I want to be able to dynamically assign tracks to my clip grid (APC,Launchpad etc...) with a lock function same as the blue hand.

the possibility to cut an rearange the samples in the clip view i think there is more precision to do that instead in the arrangment window.
And a key combination for the quantization of the arrangment and clip view instead of using the mouse to do 1 bar 2 bar 1,2 etc etc wit + and -.

1. RMS, peak, phase and stereo meters or one multimeter. Preferably both.

2. Oscilloscope.

3. A triangle waveform in Analog.

4. Changing noise oscillator to a third waveform oscillator in Analog.

5. When setting interval longer than 1 beat in Beat Repeater offset should be able to set to higher values than 15/16.

6. Maximizing EQ's 8 window like in Spectrum for better control.

7. Mid/Side compression.

8. Setting Record Quantization as default.

Sorry for my English. Cheers ;-).
