Hi,
i own a powerbook with osx installed, i've tryed live 2 demo on both pc and mac, and on this the performance is about half.
I'd like to know if ableton wanna help us mac users to play successfully with altivec support or if i have to sell my powerbook and buy a pc notebook. I want to have 8 tracks with an eq and conpressor for each one and some effects send, but seems this is possible only for pc users.
From what i've seen at namm all major mac apps are gonna to be released for osx and all will have altivec support. I have not seen any official words from ableton about it...i'll buy it only when will be
a really working version that takes all the power from g4 processor.
So anyone got idea of when will it be? Months, years or what?
