APC+BCF users or Launchpad+BCF users
APC+BCF users or Launchpad+BCF users
Just set up my APC40 and every time I click on a clip or a track my BCF motors engage with an unacceptable noise. Same sound that it makes when turning midi-mapping on or off.
I wonder is there a way to filter all that handshaking?
I just opened up Midipipe and am befuddled but i must get it going IF I want to keep this Pro Controller.
I wonder also if the Novation Launchpad causes the same continual messaging that engages the BCF's motors.
thanks!

Think I'm ready to give up on the APC after only one hour of use.
REALLY want to know if the Launchpad handshake fucks with the BCF with every session-view maneuver like the APC does.

Exactly the same here. The control surface script must be refreshing the midi data so it sends midi to the remote out. That is annoying, but I can live with it. It should be improved by ableton, though, since the cc's I am using with the bcf are not used by the launchpad.

never noticed this (LP+BCF)
But I have my BCF running in mackie mode where the faders send mod wheel messages, not CC's or note on messages.

I made a little investingation with max for monitoring the midi messages.
Everytime you select a track or clip or scene, the LP ouputs two messages :
note 95, velocity 0
CC 90, value 105.
The only solution I see for now is to send the remote out to a virtual bus, filter these messages and resend in my soundcard's midi out.

So you have bothe the APC and the LP? And the LP also messes with your BCF?chapelier fou wrote:I made a little investingation with max for monitoring the midi messages.

Am I gonna need Max to solve this? Damn complicated and expensive, huh.

Ok, so, a few question, if you don' t mind, about mackie mode emulation :
- Do I need to update the firmware, and if so, will I lose my presets ?
- Can I remap the knobs to something else than pan ?
- Does it work only in usb modes or is it ok with midi cables ?
- Which emulation so you use ?
- Any bug ?

Why are you saying that, is it supposed to be a joke ? Because, you know, if I use motorized faders, that may be because I need it.
