Rewire: Logic/Live. Dropping 1st beat of every 8 bars?

Hi guys,

Anybody notice any Rewire strangeness lately?

If I set up a VERY simple 4/4 kick/snare pattern in Logic and send to an Impulse in Live I get a drop-out on the first note after every 8 bars.

For example I'll lose my kick at 9.1.1 and 17.1.1 etc etc.

BTW I've also just tried sending a synth pattern to Simpler as well. Same thing.

Also it can be a one or two bar pattern repeated or a 24 bar synth improv and it'll still drop out at the same place: 9.1.1, 17.1.1, 25.1.1.

Any ideas?

Is anyone else experiencing something like this?

I've been trying to trouble shoot the problem with someone over at the Logic forums but his system is working fine.

Strangely my latest attempt has shown the drop-outs now occur at 5.1.1 + 9.1.1 etc etc.

The irony is that it's not happening when using Reason via Rewire. Only Live.

Deleted prefs. Tried 7.0.18, 8.0.9, 8.1.1. All have the same behavior.

Ideas?

Nope, works great for me with Logic. I get some glitches when playing from the very start of the track... but then it's smooth sailing.

I have no idea what the problem could be.

This is driving me crazy. I even tried reinstalling Live.

Guess I might try updating Logic again.

Delete your template project? Maybe you have some looping volume automation or something on a track??
