I guess the title says it all!
I'm a new user (2 days) so please be gentle with me!
I recently saw a new feature in Logic that will take a few bars of music and put markers on the transient points - after that it will automatically export those samples to a sampler, mapped across the keyboard.
Does Ableton have such a feature? If so, I'm not asking for an XYZ explanation, but if someone could point me in the right direction, I'd be really grateful!

Chop up a beat into hits and automatically map to sampler?
Re: Chop up a beat into hits and automatically map to sampler?
add warp markers on the places in your audio file which you would like to be chopped up
right click on the audio clip and select slice to "new midi track"
a default menu will come up "slice to warp marker" and slicing preset "built in" - start with that - it will slice the audio file to a drum rack with simplers on it
if you are using the full version of live 8 a better explaination starts on page 245 of the manual - hope this starts you off
