CD Baby... the royal treatment...

Post by H20nly » Fri Mar 19, 2010 6:46 pm

I ordered Paddy's (of Pitch Black) cool tribalesque CD yesterday... I just got an email from CD Baby confirming shipment and thought I'd share...

(1) Paddy Free: Karekare - Te Reo O Te Whenua

Your CD has been gently taken from our CD Baby shelves with sterilized contamination-free gloves and placed onto a satin pillow.
A team of 50 employees inspected your CD and polished it to make sure it was in the best possible condition before mailing.
Our packing specialist from Japan lit a candle and a hush fell over the crowd as he put your CD into the finest gold-lined box that money can buy.
We all had a wonderful celebration afterwards and the whole party marched down the street to the post office where the entire town of Portland waved "Bon Voyage!" to your package, on its way to you, in our private CD Baby jet on this day, March 19, 2010.
We hope you had a wonderful time shopping at CD Baby. In commemoration, we have placed your picture on our wall as "Customer of the Year." We're all exhausted but can't wait for you to come back to CDBABY.COM!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Sigh...
We miss you already. We'll be right here at http://cdbaby.com/, patiently awaiting your return.

Ooo! How exciting! It's the first time in a long time (or possibly ever) that anyone has downloaded this file! We're getting it ready now. In the meantime, please watch this thing spin around and around:
What's with all the hype? the download was very quick to set up though, no signing up or other hoops to jump through

I through it on a CD for a car journey saturday and I'm glad I got it. I was drawn to the beat driven techno/house tracks (probably because I was thinking how I could work them into a set sometime  ) but it was nice to hear an album with a solid concept that was able to wander through genres and stay focused. The beatless track with the yearning singing all the way through (track 11??) was my favourite so far
