Most people are right-handed and play the keyboard thusly. Knobs should be oriented on the left side. I like that on the first design. Sexy synth!. Korg's fucked up a few designs, overlooking us right-handers.

They haven't over-looked right-handers. That's why the Pitch/Mod wheels are on the left. Because most people are right-handed, as you say. Pitch/Mod wheels on the right would have been super retarded for this very reason. So with that in mind, the knobs are in the 'right' position - pun intended.

also, this keyboard isn't that wide. It's about as wide as your lap. There is virtually no loss in convenience by positioning them where they are. The knobs take up 95% of the available space, so it makes little-to-no difference which side they're on...

For a larger keyboard, I would of course hope the knobs would be orientated to the left.

I bought a mono Evolver Keyboard last month and it's the best purchase I ever made, completely turned me on to making music again. The only negative thing I've got to say about is it that now I want the polyphonic version... No idea about the Mopho, though.
