I dig! I would bring the levels on the background thing going on from the start down a little bit, it get's a little jarring during the first half. Other than very cool and unique.

Thanks pw, glad you dig! Agreed about the levels in the first half - the opening part dominates for too long and I think I'll drop it down when things get going.

On the second half I was worried I might have overdone it with the beat repeat on the rhythm guitar (sometimes I lose the plot when I start playing with effects in Ableton), but it works ok I guess.

One fustration I do have the way some sounds are killed in the process exporting WAV files from Ableton. If anyone can help here it would be much appreciated!

Well it's like some frequencies are cut out, some sounds seem to get lost. Listening back in Ableton seems much richer than the converted WAV/mp3 files. I've mainly noticed this with guitar effects. I've tried playing with the export settings but that doesn't seem to make much difference. I'm using Live Lite - not sure if the full version has the same problem? Don't get me wrong, I think Ableton is bloody brilliant and I'm probably only using 5 or 10% of the Lite version's capability, but it's a shame that the final exported version isn't always quite the same as intended. It's not unsurmountable and a bit of trial and error and some tweaking can fix things but, for me, that takes a bit of the fun out of the process.

Anyhow...I've tweaked the track and a new version is here:

I've changed the levels a bit as suggested, also given the beat repeat guitar effect a bit more impact.
