Recording a live performance..?

Post by staffan » Mon Apr 04, 2005 12:46 pm

i'm playing a couple of shows soon and want to record my live sets. recording to arrangement view is not an option since i use a lot of effects that are a bit random. so it doesn't sound the same everytime.
and i open a new set for each song and would like to record the silence between the songs aswell. i want a long wav of the entire set
i don't have a md or anything like that, it has to be done inside the computer..
any ideas?

Insert a new audio track... Goto audio input options on new track clik resampling from master bus arm the record button hit play.... Word to the wise.... If you hit the space bar during your set this will stop the recording...

You might could try something like Audio Hijack, or a pc equivalent (if it exists).

I use another application (audiodesk) to record my live shows, b/c live will stop recording if you hit the space bar or click the stop button.

I use a motu 828 mk 2 live, which gives me multi inputs and outputs, so it's easy to record whatever comes out of the master outs.
