how do you make sure you don't get ripped off when you sell your laptop on ebay?

don't ship it until you receive payment, or until the check clears.
use paypal, etc.

typically the seller on eBay has the upper hand when it comes to likelihood of a bunk transaction.

Vakis, i'm unsure of the market in Germany.
check eBay Germany and search completed auctions to see what the Ti 667's have sold for in the past. And if you figure out how to underclock it 1mhz so its a 666, you may get some megadeth dork that will give you two grand for it.

For security on ebay, read ebay's security FAQ - it's very informative, step-by-step stuff. Good info on escrow services.
