Decibel and the Electric Tea Garden will be hosting a very special ABLETON LIVE MASTER CLASS with Live Expert and Canada's only Certified Ableton Instructor, NOAH PRED aka SHEN (Thoughtless / Muti).
LESSONS WILL INCLUDE:
- Non-Destructive Sound Design: Creative audio warping, linked and unlinked clip envelope automation
- Intelligent Looping: launch modes, follow actions and dummy clips
- Internal Connections: MIDI and audio routing techniques, creative bussing and side-chaining
- Timing is Everything: Making beats with Drum Racks, slicing audio to MIDI, rhythmic programming concepts, quantization, syncopation, randomization and humanization
- Making Waves: Dive into the groove pool
Prerequisites: minimum one year experience with Ableton Live; laptop with Ableton Live installed (demo or trial version acceptable), headphones required, MIDI controller and audio interface optional.
The workshop will be taking place at THE ELECTRIC TEA GARDEN from *6:30pm - 8:30pm (1402 E. Pike, just across the street from Chop Suey)
