Hi dorsch,

This date is provisional atm.. In fact it may be better to have it on the weekend before or after as Pepezabala has a workshop arranged in Barcelona on the 10th with Phat Conductor.. But that could be good also as PC is in da hood.. I'll PM them both to see how things can be sorted..

Right (nitty gritty) costs..

Here's an exact copy of the costs that I mailed Ableton HQ .. (Remember they were thinking of putting something pretty big together)
I have made some enquires on some of the main costs to hire the needed infrastructure.

All based on 3 day hire and a 250 person attendance figure.

Generator 30kva Silent pure sinewave. 40,50€+ 5% insurance plus 16% tax per day
Hire of junction box and cables for generator 10€ + 5% insurance plus 16% tax per day.
Price of transport 38,58 per hour ( 4 hrs ) Plus tax @ 16% (there would be a 600€ plus tax deposit on this item)

1 Marquee 10x30 = 300 m2 3,338,00€
Optional flooring 1,535,00€ Plus tax @16% including transport.

Portaloos 5 cabins including transport 725,00€ plus 16% tax

250 seats 330€ plus 16% including transport

4000 watt Wharfdale PA system plus onstage monitors with engineer and lights 500 euros all inc.

Workforce. I x electrician (personal friend) 1 day set up 1 day take down 250€ all inc
2 general helpers parking/security etc 4 days @ 80€ per day each.

There would also be diesel for the generator to add.. it would run on 'red' diesel.. I would estimate the cost of around 3 ltrs hour @ 0.70€ per liter.
Obviously we wouldn't need anything like the amount of infrastructure in the above quote..

But there are somethings that we would need regardless of attendance. ie Generator, PA and lights(this is a good friend of mine and I'm pretty sure he'll come down on price), seats, tables, some added helper/s (1or 2) and some kind of covering (what kind would still depend on attendance though)..

So this gives an idea.. 8)

This maybe a little too kinky to share, but I really want to take a shit while Rave is taking a shit. Shitting together in bio-sync with Rave. That's what I want.

Google Maps reckons just 10 days to get from Berlin, via the Genoa ferry, to Barcelona... walking!

Also: do you have wifi there? So we can get our 8.1.3b29 beta update which expires in the middle of the weekend, and also so that we can sit around the camp-fire refreshing the forum instead of having to talk to each other in real-life, like...

I don't exist in real life so I am fucked. . .
I slipped into a daze, whilst I was there I heard the most startling music, it was at once familiar and alien, reassuring and unsettling.

Hey Hd! :D

Wow, glad to see the idea is really taking off!
You know i'm all over that if it happens, whatever date it is, and i can help you with anything you need... well, except anything to do with the toilets, especially if Neb and Rave are in there.

Woot.

I realize that I've started a tangent that HD may not appreciate. But it's just that image of two side-by-side toilets. It made me get all romantic and think of Rave.
