step sequencer in max for live failed for me because I couldn't figure out how to control the sliders from my midi controller. Consequence failed even worse. Reaktor came the closest, but Thesys did everything I wanted and with so much less to figure out.
Sugarbytes makes great and intuitive interfaces....besides being well thought out and solid products.
Other than being unhappy with consequence they haven't disappointed me at all....unless I'm missing something obvious, I just can't get past feeling that the step sequencer in max for live really left out one of the most important elements of a great sequencer, the ability to twist knobs and move sliders to tweak notes, cc's, velocity etc.
Oh well, Sugarbytes dumbed it down enough for me to have fun....that's all that really counts. rock on.

Ya it is pretty awesome. And I love that the step pitches and velocities are midi learnable. Map out to a BCR and you got yourself an old school hardware synth sequencer.
