I'm talking about a project that is using a combination of VST sample loopers, VST instruments, plugins and external audio input with all mixing done within VST's so all my master pans and gains are untouched.
When I bring this project from the stand alone version of Usine to the multichannel VST version and insert it into Live 8, it does not sound the same anymore. The only explanation I have is that either the Usine VST deteriorates the sound or the way live processes or sums the signal is "different"
And once again the exact same thing loaded identically in Reaper also sounds different.

So perhaps if we are talking about record and playback of a single track of audio from an external source, then it will be the same in any current daw software, but perhaps there is significant differences in the way different software processes VST's and /or sums audio?

Have you tried rendering it to audio and then importing the audio files into Live to see how that sounds ?
