A snip!

'For the Love of God' is a sculpture by artist Damien Hirst produced in 2007. It consists of a platinum cast of a human skull encrusted with 8,601 flawless diamonds, including a pear-shaped pink diamond located in the forehead. Costing £14 million to produce, the work went on display at the White Cube gallery in London in an exhibition Beyond belief with an asking price of £50 million. This would have been the highest price ever paid for a single work by a living artist.

I bought the skull for like $14 at Micheal's craft store last Halloween.

with the Bridge coming up, i hopefully will go to one laptop and finally have a dedicated laptop for porn..

Image
new Opals and RME card along with alot of acoustic treatment around the whole room.. I use the ERGO room correction and it worked great at my last place where the acoustics were really bad.. but it's still not a substitute for proper acoustics..

back side of the room where our make shift vocal booth is...

my girlfriend's ableton setup in the living room.. i converted her from protools.. stickers are for my dumbass trying to learn more music theory..

Image
put the old monitors to good use.. and word to the wise, if you Dj in real life, you probably won't enjoy DJ Hero cuz you'll be too critical of the game.. same reason why some guitarist probably hate guitar hero.. but i still try to have some fun with it..

my girl says hi to the forum..

+1. Torn between those and Focal Twins at this point, or possibly stepping up to Barefoot mm35's....

I had the opportunity to hear both Event Opal and Focal Twin alongside Adam S3X-H this weekend. They are all very good, but with quite different sound. Event Opal sure has oomph, more so than the other two mentioned. There is an amazing amount of low end in them. Very nice high end as well, although I found them a bit lacking in the lower mid range, and some transients seemed to mysteriously disappear in the Opals. Focal Twins sound quite different. Fairly light in the bass, but their mid range is well defined. They are also very forward in the high end. Adam's ribbon tweeters seem laid back in comparison...

I'm considering a pair of Twins to complement my setup, but I wouldn't want them as my main speakers. They are too forward in the high end for my taste and I would most likely make dull mixes with them. I could certainly learn to live with the Opals, and if I had to choose just one pair out of the speakers mentioned above, I'd probably go with the Opals.

As a point of reference, I'm a Genelec fan.

Oh, and I hope you don't mind me chiming in even though the question was directed to someone else :)
