APC 40: drifting cross fade

My APC has a drifting cross fade!

It drifts from left to center. Typically it bounces a bit around when it hits far left, and from then on it glides back to center. All within a few seconds. From right to center it behaves normal. Is there something im missing?

Maybe its the hardware, because it happens regardless of Control Surface or Midi Control modes. And regardless of Live versions.

Seems easy to replace it though..

I bought it in the states, so I want be sending it back, as I live in europe..

But it is in fact easily replaceable. It must be so for a reason. Can we add 3rd party cross fades?

put it on a flat surface

might be a faulty unit. unless you have other controllers or midi gear could be conflicting with it. Otherwise i'd say return it.

Neither worked..

Its easy to take it out. Ill email Akai, maybe I can get a new one.
