EIC From Suite 8 (boxed) Not Installing on Mac!!

hi everyone,
I just bought a boxed upgrade of Live suite 8, I've successfully installed the Drum Session cds but when I try to install the EIC Live freezes and I have to force quit.

I read about the woodwinds not working so I tried excluding them but it didn't work.
This is very frustrating

Any help would be appreciated

What version of mac os are you using? ie 10.x.x
Have you updated to the latest version of ableton? 8.x.x

You might have done this already but first check for updates of the mac, install them if any
then make sure you have the latest installer for ableton currently 8.1.1 you can get it here if you need it.

If the problem still persists I'd drop tech support a quick email there usually pretty fast to get in touch.
When you contact tech support give them the following information so they can process your case faster.

1:Your version of Live (if you don't know which version you use, see the Live "about" window)
2:Your computer configuration and operating system
3:Your audio hardware
4:A detailed description of the problem

send this information in an email to: support@ableton.com

Unless the cd/ dvd drive is having issues (witch is also possible) they would still have to copy the files to the computer.
or there could be problems with the disc also in witch case you'd have to contact ableton support
(maybe if you know someone in you area with a suite 8 box you could try borrow their's)

I had a bad disk for my EIC too, contacted Ableton and they sent me a new one pronto. Worked fine then.
