I turn Adobe updater off and I only update every few dot versions. It's quite a self-important piece of software that does very little.
Don't you guys be talking shit about Adobe, who also makes Flash. LSZ will drive out to where you live and fuck your shit up. It's just that important.

yeah they make the most voracious updaters on the planet, only rivaled by Apples incessant need to pump extra shit/apps into your computer, when all you wanted to do was play an MP3.

its a tough race...

Since I have just been wowed in the last few days at the improvements implemented in CS5, I will say that while your comment is probably sarcasm, Adobe is slowly becoming my hero, based solely on the amount of boring work it has removed from the overall creative process.

/continue with sarcasm...now.

Are you kidding? I'm the Adobe Poster Boy, mofo.

Say, how's that new intelligent clone feature in Photoshop? I hear it's pretty great but still only have CS4.... :?:

Apple installs nothing but awesomeness with each update.

But if I was a PC user I'd probably be mad too because I've heard iTunes and QuickTime on PCs is decidedly less awesome. But as you didn't buy a Mac and therefore spent exactly $0.00 towards software development, fuck you guys. :P

Not true. I run iTunes and QT on all 3 of my PCs without issue. People that have issues with those programs on PCs simply don't know what the fuck they're doing - which is evident in those God Awful 'I hate iTunes because ______' threads.

I could agree with this statement if it weren't for 100s of dollars peeps have to shell out for an iPod/Touch (whatever) only to be told YOU MUST HAVE iTunes installed or this thing is fucking useless.

Then you go online to download iTunes, so you can... play MUSIC, then you find you suddenly have Quicktime, Bonjour, and whatever else in Add/Remove programs plus running at startup and there's a update available for at least one of em every couple of weeks.

I forget who started this thread, but wasn't it about unnecessary bloat/updates?

Each update is an improvement upon greatness. Just look at it that way and you'll be fine.

I have another way I started looking at... i dropped my iPod when I was skating.. it got run over by a car. At first this was awful. Then, I bought a Sandisk Sanza and suddenly I didn't need ANY additional software to run it, it works on every computer I can plug it in to and it hasn't once threatened to erase all my tracks if I want to move one off or on to it from a foreign computer.

I call this view... the way it should it be.

P.S. I bought it for less than a 100 bucks. AND it can play little ebooks and movies too.

Yes. But you also get funny looks whenever you whip it out, don't you? Yes, yes you do.

Thats your argument

And you wonder why neb calls you Mac fags?

The fucking thing fits in the palm of my hand... and it doesn't look at all bad. In fact, to be honest... its nice to be different. Plus as an added bonus I know how easy it will be to download and upload music when I step on that plane and I'm 1000 miles from my own computer. I don't even need an internet connection to "switch to my account" when I get there...

I manage the player, the player doesn't manage me.

I've used a simple MP3 player for years. Current model is the Zen Stone - love it! Had an iPod a while ago, but got really REALLY tired of having to use iTunes for everything.

I have no issues with alternatives to Apple's mobile products but I do kind of get the giggles when somebody who own's one feels the need to bust it out give a long wind bag explanation of what it does and why they bought it. It's the only time outside this forum that resembles the Mac vs. PC threads on this forum.

"I have an iPhone"

"I have a non-iPhone and blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. So what do you think about that?"

"I have an iPhone" *skips off whistling*

actually, I have an iphone. but I can't wait for my contract with AT&T to be over so I can go back to verizon. If they have an iphone for verizon then, I'll consider keeping it, but the android phones are all looking amazing.
