I just wanted to let people know that we've got 30 new Xpansion Tanks for SampleTank created by the skilled folks at Sonic Reality and we've launched them with a great Group Buy. We've already hit the 3x1 goal of the Group Buy so we've put in a new 4x1 goal where you can get four of these for $49.99.
There's also a new version of SampleTank which is SampleTank 2 XT - it is fully expandable (can load all SampleTank-formatted sounds, including these new Xpansion Tanks of course) and it comes with 1GB of sounds itself. You get this free with the Xpansion Tanks, so you don't need a full SampleTank version to join in. Cool stuff!

This is an awesome group buy!!! Currently at 864 users. Goes to 4X1 when it hits 1500 users. If it is like past IKM group buys - they will just keep sweetening the deal as more targets are hit. 6X1? I hope so!

Well, there is samplemoog, but it's not part of this deal. There's an arp and obi though. I bet the hip hop collection had some minimoog sounds but that's just a guess.

IK multimedia dont give any detailed info about these packs.
(if samplemoog was part of the deal the GB could reach 10.000 lol)

There's an excellent sampling of the SampleMoog sounds (maybe 7 patches and child patches too) in the XT 2 1GB sound set and there's a PolyMoog patch in the Vintage Keys. Some Hip-Hop sounds are Moog-y but I'm not 100% sure they are specific Moog samples but I do think so.

If yes does it work well with Ableton?
1.Automation works normally (on record)?
2.What about live's plugin - parameter configure? does it work or it is like the t-racks singles ?
2b.moving a knob will move the related slider (parameter box) ?
3.Does live need to be run as admin to avoid crash like t-racks singles (windows vista/7 32/64) ?

I posted this elsewhere but wanted to share:
SampleTank really is a very quick workstation. With a little bit of research/knowledge of the tools used on the original recording and some ingenuity I was able to do a Floydesque take on the "Shine on You" Part I sounds in just a few minutes only using instruments from these Xpansion Tanks with no external processing of any kind (limited myself on purpose). I used sounds from Vintage Keys, Cinematik, and SampleOB Xpander (and only one from each for the pad, one from SampleOB Xpander for lead). Mind the few seconds of silence at the beginning - I also only took a few minutes to tweak the export

Yes - I joined. I keep things pretty simple so I haven't really noticed any issues. Plus I am still using XP.
