Is 8.1.3 osx 10.6 compatable
Re: Is 8.1.3 osx 10.6 compatable
10.6 was released almost 8 months ago. You really think any company is releasing new software that isn't compatible with it?

Well sorry for asking Mr Beats me and for assuming a forum is a place for asking questions

Re: Is 8.1.3 osx 10.6 compatable
I think it's a perfectly valid question. I for one upgraded from osx 1.5.8 to 1.6.3, only to find that midi sync didn't work as well as it previously did (drifting, out of sync issues). I found that switching off Delay Compensation made it better.
Re: Is 8.1.3 osx 10.6 compatable
What kind of conflated, asinine question is this? Clearly you spend enough time on this board to know that Live has been out for roughly the same amount of time and that it has itself been unreliable for varying reasons on every different platforms and os's.beats me wrote:10.6 was released almost 8 months ago. I am running SL over here and I have learned how to avoid making Live crash using 8.1.1. I am waiting for the same feedback.

You really think any company is releasing new software that isn't stable?.....oh, wait.
Re: Is 8.1.3 osx 10.6 compatable
He didn't ask if it's stable. He asked if it's compatible.
Live 8 has a nice long history of not being stable on any OS and it's far too soon to say 8.1.3 is solid. Most of 8's problems have been related to third party plug-ins so unless somebody has run every single third party plug-in available in all available combinations in less than a week then it's a question nobody can answer.

Re: Is 8.1.3 osx 10.6 compatable
Makes sense. I withdraw most of my harsh criticism. Seems that the compatibility sticky was up for ages though, so I still think it's a fair question.
Re: Is 8.1.3 osx 10.6 compatable
I suppose my first response could have been a little less harsh but I was fresh out of The Lounge and you know how we roll in there.
Re: Is 8.1.3 osx 10.6 compatable
I suppose I could see that happening. It just seems like a rough way to treat someone with only three posts and a legitimate question.

Not if the first 3 posts happened in the Lounge.LOFA wrote:I suppose I could see that happening. It just seems like a rough way to treat someone with only three posts and a legitimate question.
And his "well?" came off a little:
or at least it would have in...I'm repeating myself here.
Re: Is 8.1.3 osx 10.6 compatable
Typical go write some choons and chill out.Ive had Live since version 1 and spend most of my time using it rather than being nasty on the Ableton forum.
