10.6 was released almost 8 months ago. You really think any company is releasing new software that isn't compatible with it?

Well sorry for asking Mr Beats me and for assuming a forum is a place for asking questions

I think it's a perfectly valid question. I for one upgraded from osx 1.5.8 to 1.6.3, only to find that midi sync didn't work as well as it previously did (drifting, out of sync issues). I found that switching off Delay Compensation made it better.

Running fine here too. Even more so than 8.1.1, actually.

What kind of conflated, asinine question is this? Clearly you spend enough time on this board to know that Live has been out for roughly the same amount of time and that it has itself been unreliable for varying reasons on every different platforms and os's.

I am running SL over here and I have learned how to avoid making Live crash using 8.1.1. I am waiting for the same feedback.

You really think any company is releasing new software that isn't stable?.....oh, wait.

He didn't ask if it's stable. He asked if it's compatible.

Live 8 has a nice long history of not being stable on any OS and it's far too soon to say 8.1.3 is solid. Most of 8's problems have been related to third party plug-ins so unless somebody has run every single third party plug-in available in all available combinations in less than a week then it's a question nobody can answer.

Makes sense. I withdraw most of my harsh criticism. Seems that the compatibility sticky was up for ages though, so I still think it's a fair question.

I suppose my first response could have been a little less harsh but I was fresh out of The Lounge and you know how we roll in there. :)

I suppose I could see that happening. It just seems like a rough way to treat someone with only three posts and a legitimate question.

Not if the first 3 posts happened in the Lounge. :)

And his "well?" came off a little:

or at least it would have in...I'm repeating myself here.
