Automatically export each bar of an arrangement

Post by hedflux » Sun Apr 25, 2010 10:37 am

Hi,

I'm working on loops for a sample CD. I have made all my loops in the arrangement view. Usually i would highlight each 1 or 2 bar loop and export the audio file, but for the sake of efficiency, I would like an automatic way of exporting each bar of the arrangement to its own file.

Does anyone know a way to do this?

I suppose one way would be to export the whole thing as one audio file, then slice that file evenly into 1-bar loops in another program - any suggestions for this?

I have Maxforlive, if that can do it - but I havent had the time to learn how to work this properly yet.

Many thanks for your help!
Steve

hi,
cut your loops and then freeze. All your files are now in your freeze folder.

hope this helps

What about the "slice to new midi track" function?
Would it do the job?

you don't get new audio files from slicing. But when you freeze it will create new audio files, you can find them in your Songfolder/Samples/Freezed.

Hi guys,

the freezing technique doesn't seem to work as intended. It just exports the whole track, not the individual 1-bar clips in the track :(

Any other suggestions?

drag the loops to session view and then freeze. This should work
