Shortcuts- why can't we easily customize?

Really, what's the deal with not being able to customize all of Live's shortcuts?
Am i missing something here? That seems sooooo basic these days.......

Well if you're on a mac you can do it by creating custom shortcuts in system preferences, I did this myself to replicate the shortcuts from PT which i'm so used to.
