How do you know the tempo is 100 bpm?

Re: Help matching vocals to BPM
when i had the song in itunes i used a bpm counter to find out it was 100 but then once i put the song into ableton it goes 111.17
the track sounds like it is the same timing but the metrnome is not matching it at all. and when i put it to 100 it sounds far to slow
any ideas?

Re: Help matching vocals to BPM
try putting the tempo in Live's Tempo box to 111.17 would be my first suggestion (if you didn't already)
otherwise, use warping and make sure you get the start of your track on the first downbeat.
