Yeah I think Zebra is probably the best buy out there right now and has a phenomenal oscillator section. Camel Audio's Alchemy is also a fantastic synth and can do some things that Zebra can't, while I can't say the same for the Arturia synths.
Also, check out http://www.genuinesoundware.com/?a=showproduct&b=27. I think Lounge Lizard is a great VSTi but I've played on a fair amount of Mk II's and GSi's Mr. Ray Mk II is more authentic. More dry, less pizazz, but more authentic. I have both but I'm really into Rhodes. I appreciate than Lounge Lizard lets you get under the hood and design your own sound.

+1....In recent weeks I sort of randomly started spending a lot of time with Prophet V after letting it collect digital-dust for quite a while. I gotta say that Prophet VS synth is wicked! Just skimming the preset pad sounds reveals some real beauties, some crazy stuff that even rivals Absynth. And then digging deeper it turns out to be a really interesting and unique wavetable synth. But also, I'm loving programming the Prophet V, especially for punchy old-school synth bass, but the original Prophet 5 itself was so well rounded that really this emulation is great just as an old-school bread-butter workhorse. I know the argument over how "real" Arturia stuff sounds will rage forever, but for my tastes, I think this one (and the ARP2600V) sound fantastically rich and big.leedsquietman wrote:The Prophet V is probably the most versatile Arturia synth, because you get both the analogue subtractive synthesis of the Prophet V and the wavetable synthesis of the Prophet VS and you an combine them as a hybrid.
