and I haven't even scratched the surface of what it all can do..
i'ts an iceberg... see what I mean
the only thing I really have to get used to is that the step seq goes from bottom to top..
top to bottom feels more naturally to me.. can this be changed? guess not..
same here, for the Step seq and even for the rest (patterns, scenes...)... seems they decided to go the MPC route, and to mimic the japanese way of thinking... (although japanese don't read from bottom to top... )

I'm using it in contrary way, making the 13th pattern/scene the first, then the 9th the 5th, etc. but it's a bit of brainstorming to get it natural...

anyway, that's just more lolling :D

hey here.
Finally interested by the maschine (with the 1.5 update and after trying it 2 hours at a friend's shop).
I found a good deal on ebay with the accademic version.
However I wonder how the warranty works. Apparently the warranty is only for US.
Do you have experience with this?

For the APC I bought from US as well (sweetwater), I need to send it back over there if there is a problem. Is it the same for the maschine ?

Price in australia are not "fair".

Cheers.

I don't think he got a used academic version... I think he just got a good price on Maschine, being the academic version. So I don't think he'll have any problems, other than the warranty stuff...

well, on ebay there is a lot of accademic versions, and you dont need to prove that you are a student. And those offer a legit apparently, from shops in US that have 99.9% of satisfied customers, it's new, not 2nd hands.

And I dont plant to sell it.I mean, I will probably want to sell it in few years but then the price to sell it will be much lower and it will be the same as saving 100 bucks right now with the accademic version.

New Maschine template that combines the midi remote script for Live and Mackie Control:
http://www.native-instruments.com/forum ... tcount=134

Features:
  • Full bicommunication - Mackie Control pages where all track & parameter names are displayed on the screen

Mixer controls: Volume, Pan, Sends, Mute, Solo, Record

Not limited to tracks 1-8, you can edit all your tracks from the controller with visual feedback

Control any device in your set without referring to the monitor - browse through tracks & devices

Pads now send out midi so you can access 16 pads of Drum Racks (whichever section is highlighted)

Instant Mapping macros for APC style Device Control, seperate to Mackie Control, lockable in the software

As usual, there's transport control, navigate between clips / tracks, lauch clips / scenes

Additional buttons for Hide / Show the Detail & Browser, Clip / Track, Session / Arrange, Pen / Arrow, Undo and Redo

no i left everything on channel 2 (that is what he programmed it at) and just changed the notes, so it matches my drumrack...

but i just posted this on the NI forum, maybe someone here has the answer... this template so brutally rocks, i am amazed... for me this would add to perfection...

hi,

thanks again for this awesome, awesome template...

but i have two little issues with it...

i am not all to good in mackie MCU mapping...

how can i implement two, respectively 3 very often used, at least in my case... functions, that would make the mapping pretty much perfect...

1, 'stop all clips' (most important one)

2, 'back to arrange'

3, the free tempo knob mapped to the cue volume, i often use that when i pre-listen to samples in the browser... to adjust the volume according to the track...

thanks a lot!
