Win 7 8.1.5 not retaining app audio

I just installed Window 7 64 bit to get more memory usage. Everything seems work but for the fact 8.1.5 has to have audio drivers selected on almost every new launch of the application. (Using on board Windows drivers)

I installed ASIO drivers for Windows 7 and all seems to be working now. It was the drivers on the motherboard/system that worked when selected (direct x/wave) but would not be retained when saving forcing me to set Audio Preferences every time I launched the app.

On a side note, the sound is definitely better under Windows 7 than is was under XP for all my plug-in.
