Mac/PC compatibility

Post by amo » Thu May 05, 2005 8:59 am

Hi,

I know that question has been asked before and alredy answered, but I can't find that doing a research: Does a project saved on a PC opens on a MAC, and vice-versa ?
Thanks if anyone have a "quick" answer, need to do that pretty soon.

Regards,

Amaury

Yes but some third party VSTs may be mac or PC only and then you're SOL to make sure everything works you might want to bounch everything down to audio only.

Does Word for Mac come with the O.S. I'm asking becuase I'm thinking about getting a Mini Mac for my folks this Xmas. Their PentuimII PC is slowly dying and is plagued with viruses. So if they can transfer their Word Docs. over without any hassle then I'm getting one for em. But maybe not if I have to drop an additional $100 or so for an office program.

Thanks for your help!

You can open and save word docs on Panther and up with the included TextEdit app.
