Listing the reasons garageband is inappropriate will aid in furnishing you with an answer more suited to your needs.

Cocksmoker.
Dum's right, though. If you are going to get bent out of shape because someone asked an obviously related question to your original post, then you probably don't belong asking questions on this forum (which should be in the "Music and Audio Production forum anyway :roll: )

@Dum: Adolescent name calling, again? You were doing so well :lol:

Dums just a no nonsense kindof guy.

@OP

You have to realize a "Barebones" version of live... wouldn't be live. It would just be an arrangement tool. Which is garageband, and anything in between.

Look up live intro for out of the studio.
Because Whatever.

listen pissFLAPS, it's basic problem solving.

a set of criteria is provided, a solution is offered, the solution is not approved. No problemo! Very easy to accept - but knowing what aspects of the offered solution are not satisfactory would be very helpful in providing a better solution. it is at this simple 'because...?' juncture that OP turned into an enormous fag. And then I flamed him.

Now blow me.

Basic problem solving? That is a joke. The criteria set was specific enough to find a solution.

"Knowing what aspects of the offered solution are not satisfactory would be very helpful in providing a better solution."

'Very helpful.' No. Eliminating Garageband off the list of options is more helpful than knowing why it was eliminated. Suggestion unapproved. You cried. If OP would have said he didn't like the interface of Garageband you would still have asked why.

Grow a pair, and learn to keep your mouth shut when your answer isn't the desired solution.

Completely wrong, if he provides no reasoning - and I mean literally NONE - for shooting down suggestions then he might as well just use google and search 'free cheap osx daw' like every other rational human being would do.

Despite your assertions - the fact of the matter is I asked him to elaborate as to why garageband wasn't suitable because it seemed like a solid solution, I was at a genuine loss as to what he found unsatisfactory about garageband given the criteria he provided. How does he react to such an innocuous question, designed to help him ? Irrationally. Then and only then was he called out for being the obtuse douchetard that he obviously is. And of course, this being the internet wankers like yourself showing up to stick their oar in goes without saying. It's the circle of life.
