I love all of the bigotry and politics here, not to mention the calls for distraction. This place makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside kinda like being tasered by the lapd on a nice sunday afternoon while out having BBQ at the local park and listening to dr. dres chronic album.

I wouldn't change anything, some folks are just a little too sensitive and if you're one of those people you've got to remember that the movie 'Soulman' was like a microcosm of our world, and more importantly that the ableton forum is like a microcosm of that movie. The ableton forum represents those
two guys who were always getting caught telling r-jokes in the cafeteria and elsewhere through out the movie  this place is like a place with good food, good drink, and good friends, minus those things, but alotta fun.

i miss the chaos of the old General forum, a bit of this a bit of that, waves of anarchy and calm. there was a whacky contrast to the front page...

Interesting... I never visit the forum thru the front page - always thru "View new posts" and I can't say that the sig/noise ratio in my perception has changed much. Some old hands have departed/are posting less... many persons-of-variable-noobness have arrived... djsynchro might have torn up the playing field somewhat (queered the pitch, as it were) with his un-diagnosed Tourettes but so it goes.

You know, you're right man. I was wrong about you. You really make sense.

Oh wait, what's that?

ewww

Hey idiot, General Custer is his name. Maybe you should just change your name to "starving" since student doesn't seem to describe you at all. I mean, who gives a shit about your argument if you can't even spell the 6-lettered name of a famous general? Go back to grade school...or just quit puffing so much weed.
Listen bitch....did I spell that right?
the only one who doesn't get that I called the guy a piece of pie because he got is dumb ass ate the fuck up is you, probably a descendant of his.
fuck off or fuck your mother, it's up to you................and it just works.

 you got me all wrong man, I'm not sensitive about the hatred, johndoefuck is always welcome in that regard, but I don't like being interrupted while I'm having a conversation.

Agree. This used to be a pretty cool message board with a really diverse range of topics. Everyone had electronic music and ableton live in common but discussion ran the gamut with topics on everything from music production to politics to art to popular culture. Discussions and debates, though sometimes heated, were generally intelligent and thought provoking.

Overall it was an inspiring and interesting little corner of the web. Not so much anymore.

Thanks! This has been matching the tempo to "The Meteors - Quattrini No" for the most part!
Unfortunately I'm too drunk and tired to do anything about it!
