Upgraded from 8 to 8.2 and now can't use any devices

Have I missed something here? I can't use any FX, instruments, etc. Do I have to download stuff again?

What specifically is happening when you try to use these devices? Also, are unable to use Live's native devices, 3rd-party plugins, or both?

Thanks for the reply. I am referring to Live's native devices only, I don't really use any plug ins at the moment.

It is giving me the the black circle with a cross through it (like on a no smoking or skateboarding sign.) This happens any time I drag a device out of the menu.

The icon you're describing is normal - it will appear unless you have your cursor over an area where you can place the instrument or effect that you have selected. Please note that instruments and MIDI effects can only be placed in MIDI tracks.

If you create a new MIDI track, then try to drag an instrument into the area on the bottom of the screen that says "Drop MIDI Effects, Audio Effects, Instruments or Samples Here," what happens? Are you still unable to drop in devices?

Umm no. I am not Live illiterate. The devices simply don't work. That is not normal.
