Just got a 1tb drive and man does it feel nice to have some breathing room. 192kHz supersaws take up TONS of room.

Thought I'd bump this as I'm now looking at a new SSD.

Are there any specific trance SSD's out there, or should I just cross my fingers and go with any one??

Crucial are selling Adrenaline drives ( which sounds like a nice gated supersaw patch) that could cope

What kind of trance? Psy, prog, commercial????

How do you expect an accurate answer from such a vague question?

SSD?? Are you nuts? Then you lose the angular momentum of the disc drive, which is essential to the core pulse of trance!!!

You might as well try to record with dirt, cause that's what it'll sound like
Ableton Live 8.2.8
Roland TD-3SW Drum Kit
ASUS G-series, Intel i7 2.8Ghz, 6GB RAM
Windows 7 64-bit

You're so right. I'm looking for a general all all rounder, I'm willing to sacrifice some features in order to get one that works good-great with all genres!!

It's great shopping for these actually, especially if the boxes are on high shelves. My hands are quite in the air already when I'm browsing, so it's very easy for me to get them.
