Mbrane 11 any good?

Post by BoxDJ » Wed Oct 06, 2010 3:27 am

Does the Jomox Mbrane 11 and Mbase 11 make the same kick sounds except for the fact that the Mbrane can create other percussion sounds as well? If so, do you guys find the sounds in the Mbrane useful?

I do not own one, but the demos sound really cool. The only thing to consider is why pay for hardware that has very little in the way of interface when you could just use a software synth like Zebra (comb filters) to build very similar sounds?
GO VEGAN!!! - Macbook Air, Bass Station II, Some Korg shit, Live Suite, U-He, Audio Damage, Microtonic, Ohmicide, more soft stuffs, awesome controllers, euro rack modular synth,an awesome cat.

Agreed. I looked at the Mbranes for a little bit, and then loaded up Operator and made like 5 different awesome kick sounds in 10 minutes

Also +1 on Zebra for all kinds of electro-percussion sounds.
