back in the days, one could quantize to let's say 16th notes, and add the shuffle
generally.
now, you'll have to drop a groove onto each clip to add shuffle.
Imagine a situation, where you record a drum pattern live, and loop it then.
(in front of an audience)
while back in the days the recorded notes where directly quantized with the shuffle,
you'll now have an additional step, the searching, dragging & dropping of the groove onto the
just recorded clip. wich kind of sucks, in a live situation because untill you've done so,
it will play straight 16th notes.
this might be ok for technoid stuff, but especially, when you do some kind of downtempo
dilla-ish stuff, this is the most terrible thing, that can possibly happen to your drumpattern!
so please, give us the general shuffle back!!
Or you can combine it with the new groove function, by makin it a "general Groove"
wouldn't that be one fine thing to have?

it would just need a "default groove" that one could define in the groove pool. the rest is already there. just right now, it defaults to "no groove".

yay, thats even better; a Default groove, which is applied to clips you record automaticly.
and you can decide if it affects only midi clips, or both audio and midi clips!

i imagine an asignable midiknob that scrolls trough the actual groove pool (the ones you have already in the set, the small thing on the left middle), and the next recording will automatically have this groove asigned. obviously, there has to be a zero groove in the pool, too, to get a non-groove on recording.

I'd like to see the old global groove control restored but made to morph between the global setting and the individual clip settings.
If the global groove was set to "straight" then it would act just like an overall groove amount control for all the clips.
If no individual clip grooves were selected it would act just like the old global setting.

Re: i want the general shuffle back : (
i love the groove pool, but the global shuffle was great for performance, something the groove pool simply isnt.
studio work, surely, but in a live situation? hardly.
with that said; i wanna keep the groove pool and take back the global shuffle aswell.

While I like the grooves I do miss the global shuffle amount. If it were just like be fore but I could exchange the default swing for a groove, that would rock.
