Sweet.

But I already have Traktor Pro and pre-ordered a Kontrol S4 which should be shipping next week. :)

I'm thinking that might have something to do with the discounts.

Of course! But I'm a little concerned because I ordered it through DJtechtools which said they would get the full amount authorized (which they did) and then release the amount (which they did) and then charge a 10% deposit (which they did NOT). That was several weeks ago and as of Monday the site says they are sold out of the first batch and others won't be available until late November. I hope they didn't f up my order. :x

I did get an order placement receipt though when I ordered and if they did f it up I'm going to send you over under the guise that they just started a new Live user group. :)

sweetwater has traktor scratch pro for $299.
crazy price drops.
i was mainly interested in the audio 8dj soundcard, which was originally priced at $449,
but to get the whole system for $335, insane.
suppose it's just lucky timing.

Two Qs on the Audio 4 DJ, because reading audio interface specs is always wonky when you don't have the unit in front. First, is the headphone output independent of the channel outputs or does it mirror something? Also, can the inputs be switched between phono and line independently? If it doesn't mirror and can have one line input and one phono, I'm ordering it immediately.

I'm really excited to get my hands on an S4, though this means that I'll get less for my copies of Traktor Pro and the X1 when I sell them. Doh!

But from Sweetwater, does it come with the control records/CD's? It's not in the description.

Also, I had a (possibly stupid) question about this bundle, can I seamlessly alternate between playing real records and control vinyl?

Thanks,
STRATEGY

They come with custom cables that let you wire everything so you can switch between control and real vinyl using your mixer's Line/Phono switch. Pretty cool.

Thanks, that makes tons of sense.

So initially, since I don't have an external audio mixer and would be using either a midi controller or mouse, then I would have to pick one or the other, right?
