the share sucked, don't want it and I have found better ways to share files. it's 2010 and some people still suck at the internet.

f-ing people are whining for a shitty product, amazing.

go ahead and threaten a lawsuit, know what you'll get? a really shitty share with 10kB of share space and really slow connection. you want Share? there ya go. think about it FFS.

christ TD, some people want that feature and Ableton DID put it in the Live 8 release announcement. just because you don't need or want it doesn't mean others don't.

interesting.

they did at one point say it would be a paid service. maybe they could give Live 8 owners a free subscription. one free day for every day they're late delivering it.

we get free stuff, they get us addicted to their share.

We collaborate on tracks together, share our stuff and chat live....
This is a temporary solution, but a website is coming soon.

Hope this helps

Old post, but new curiosity... Is ableton sharing ever going to re appear? It was a genius idea, and an important one for modern collaboration now that we have pretty fast internet connections.

Please bring it back!

Dropbox, iCloud, Box.com, LiveDrive...

There are tons of cloud solutions these days. Ableton doesn't need to invest in new infrastructure, programming and upkeep just to serve a small percentage of their users. I would rather they spend more time and money fixing bugs and addressing user requests for improved functionality than a system that will be underused and, ultimately, fail.
